It was hotter than I had expected it to be. Luckily, Nikki was easy going and not too bothered by it. The session went really well, and I was glad to have Nikki as my first participant in my Giving Back To Artists program. The time went really fast and we got some great shots!
If things work out, Nikki will be back next month with her friend and we’ll have another great session!
One thing I wanted to try with the images from Nikki’s session was some new artistic looks. I started off with the "soft focus" look. A lot of photographers use this one, I like it, but I wanted to try something a little more original.

I really love the way this one turned out. I used a lomo filter on the image to give it some great cyan tones. This look is edgy, but still experiemental. I’m not sure if I’ll use it in any of my finished work yet, but if someone asks for it by request, I’ll absolutely use it!
Incidentally, this one is my mother’ favorite. Aside from being a talented artist, a great cook and a confirmed Macintosh Enthusiast, my mother has great taste!
